This policy explains what information typeflow collects, why, and how it's used. By using typeflow, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account details β your username and password, or your Google account email and name if you sign in with Google.
- Typing activity β your test results (WPM, accuracy, duration), race history, streaks, and daily challenge progress.
- Profile & customization β equipped themes, cursors, sounds, backgrounds, avatars, and virtual coin balance.
- Social activity β friend requests, friendships, blocks, and the content of direct/group messages you send through the site.
- Cookies β a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF token to protect form submissions. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
We use this information to operate core features: showing your stats and progress, running races and leaderboards, delivering friend requests and messages, and keeping your customizations and coin balance in sync across sessions. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Virtual currency
Coins earned or spent in typeflow are virtual, have no cash value, and cannot be withdrawn, exchanged, or transferred outside the platform.
Sharing with other users
Your username, typing stats, and equipped cosmetics are visible to other users on leaderboards and public profiles. Messages are only visible to participants in that conversation.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at the address below.
Children's privacy
typeflow is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
